Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park-Equator experience
You will picked be by one of our representatives from Great Nest Image Safaris who will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have a stopover at the Equator for the Equator moments and different equatorial experiments. The next stopover will be in Mbarara town for lunch and later proceed with your journey to the park.

Day 2: Morning game drive-Evening boat cruise
On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast and later proceed with your game drive in Kasenyi plains. This moment generally allows you to spot the early risers and nocturnal animals. While here, watch out for different animals like the lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos etc. Later, head back for lunch before proceeding with a boat cruise at Kazinga channel. Here, the boat will provide a perfect platform for viewing most of the aquatic wildlife like the hippos and crocodiles. Afterwards, head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive-Lake katwe tour
Having your early morning breakfast, you will go to the Ishasha sector in search for the tree climbing lions. These animals love resting on top of the fig trees which also presents unique sights and picturesque moments. Afterwards, head back to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Lake Katwe which was formed through a volcanic eruption. Here, you will also be able to interact with the local people taking you through different salt processes.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
You will have your early morning breakfast, then depart for Bwindi which is a home to half of the world’s gorilla population. In addition, it is one the most visited parks also offering different activities to enjoy. Upon arrival, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking -Batwa Cultural Experience
After your early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while trekking. Later, hit the forest and start off the trekking guided by the rangers for safaty. Upon locating one of the gorilla family, you will spend 1 hour in their presence, taking photos, watching them feed etc. After, you will head back to the park headquarters where you will be awarded with a gorilla trekking certificate. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and a power nap. In the evening you will go for the Batwa cultural experience (native culture in the forest) where you will get exposed to their culture & norms; dance, lifestyle, storytelling and more which is very amazing and unique. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer to Jinja City
You will have a relaxed breakfast and later start on your journey to Jinja City having a stopover along the way for lunch. Upon arrival in Jinja, you will check in your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Water Rafting-Boat ride
Very early in the morning after breakfast, you will join other rafting members and the staff for a briefing. Afterwards, start off your journey to the Nile River for white water rafting which offers the rafters the thrill as well as the excitement. Afterwards, you will head for the Nile boat ride to the actual source of the Nile. While here, you will witness the river separating itself from the Lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 8: Travel to Entebbe-Visit the Ssezibwa Falls
Have an early breakfast, check-out of the lodge and embark on your journey to Entebbe. stopover at Ssezibwa falls, a Buganda cultural site rich with birds, folktales and great scenery. This stopover will give you a glimpse into the traditional beliefs of Buganda kingdom and great pictures from the scenery and landscape. Later, continue with your journey to Entebbe, check in your lodge and later you can decide to relax at your lodge or have an evening walk.

Day 9: Transfer to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
After breakfast head to Ngamba Island which is surrounded by the fresh waters of Lake Victoria. The Sanctuary was primarily established to offer shelter to the rescued and orphaned chimpanzee. While here, the care-takers will take you through the various centers on this sanctuary.

Day 10: Travel to the Airport
On this day, you will head to the Airport to start off your journey back home or transfer you back to your hotel.
